CARF Responds to Coronavirus to Continue Delivering Services

Date published: 18th March 2020

In view of the latest Government Guidance we have taken the decision to stop our face to face services with effect from 5 pm on the 18th March 2020.  We have made this decision to protect the health of our staff and volunteers and also to protect the health of our clients.  At this stage we are asking clients NOT to visit any of our frontline offices as they will not be open and will not be able to advise you.  We have also cancelled all our outreach services for the present time.  Those with appointments will be contacted by us directly.

Whilst we have closed our face to face services, we have enhanced our telephone advice provision and advice can be obtained via the following channels:

In the first instance, we would ask clients to visit www.CABFife.org.uk where possible.  Our website contains the most up to date advice on all those issues we deal with as a Citizens Advice Bureau.  If you cannot find the information you require, please contact 0345 1400 095 for general enquiries or 0345 1400 094 for debt advice.  For help to claim Universal Credit please contact 0800 023 2581.

Please be aware that as an organisation, we are also being significantly impacted and are operating with less resource than normal.  As a result it is likely that there will be significant delays on our phone lines. As such, we would reiterate to only call the above numbers if you cannot find the information you require on our website.

We would like to thank our clients in advance for their patience whilst we have moved to this type of service.  It is important to recognise that we are not stopping services, we are simply changing the way in which they are delivered.
