Universal Credit
Date published: 11th April 2016Universal Credit is part of Welfare Reform. It is designed for those on a low income or out of work and is available in Fife from 11th April 2016 for some people. It will eventually replace these benefits:
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- Housing Benefit
- Child Tax Credit
- Working Tax Credit
It will currently only affect someone making a new claim for benefits and only if certain eligibility conditions are met. For more information please click here.
