Warm Home Discount Winter 2016/17
Date published: 8th September 2016Warm Home Discount is a £140 discount applied to your electricity bill or your pre-payment/pay-as-you-go electricity meter to help with extra heating costs during the winter months.
People in receipt of Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit should get the payment without applying.
Others in receipt of certain means-tested benefits or on a low income can apply directly to electricity supplier.
The discount is usually applied to the bill or pre-payment meter around January/February time but check with supplier to confirm payment dates.
