Attendance Allowance

Did you know that if you are over state pension age and have a disability and/or illness and need help or supervision throughout the day or during the night, you may be entitled to Attendance Allowance?

Have you received an Attendance Allowance claim form and are not sure where to start?

This short video and our Attendance Allowance Claims guide is here to help.

If you get Universal Credit and you cannot work because you are disabled or have a health condition, you will usually get an extra form to fill in. The form is called the ‘work capability questionnaire’ or UC50.

You will also have to fill in a work ‘work capability questionnaire’ or ESA50 if you make a claim for Employment and Support Allowance.

These questionnaires follow the same format and serve the same purpose: assessing your capability for work based on your health and limitations.

If you have you received a UC50 or ESA50 form and are not sure where to start, this short video and our UC50/ESA50 guide is here to help.
