Benefit Take-up Campaign Launched

Date published: 9th March 2017

The first phase of a national Benefits Take-up Campaign was launched on the 7th March and will run until the 12th March 2017.

The campaign will raise awareness of social security and encourage people across Scotland to seek advice on what they may be entitled to in terms of the full range of current UK benefits.  You may already have heard radio clips or read adverts in local and national press.

The UK wide Social Security system is an investment in everyone and is there to help when you need it.  Changes and events in our lives mean any of us could need support at some stage and the purpose of the campaign is to ensure you’re getting the help you’re entitled to.

CARF’s work in this field is well known with the organisation regularly gaining over £10m on behalf of our clients.  Michele Birrell, CARF’s Income Maximisation officer commented; “The Social Security system in the UK is becoming increasingly complex and it’s very common that many individuals are not claiming, or even aware of, benefits which they are fully entitled to.  Here at CARF we can provide advice on what you may be eligible for and, where necessary, assist with the applications”.
