Impact 3rd Sector Can Have on an Individual's Life

Date published: 1st December 2015

Fife Gingerbread hosted their AGM and annual event on Thursday 26th November.  The organisation supports lone parent, vulnerable and disadvantaged families across Fife and their annual event has become a must do for 3rd sector and public sector workers alike.

The event took the opportunity to award volunteers and service users including “Volunteer of the Year”, won by Eileen McMillan and “Lone Parent of the Year”, Jodie Banks.

CARF work closely with Fife Gingerbread and help deliver the Making it Work project for lone parents in Fife.  CARF’s role is aimed at improving financial capability within such a potentially vulnerable group, assisting with benefit difficulties and promoting financial and social inclusion.

CARF Chief Executive, Norma Philpott, commented: “This event continues to deliver inspiring stories year on year, highlighting the positive work and the impact that 3rd sector agencies like Fife Gingerbread and CARF have on individuals lives”.
