Spring is in the Air

Date published: 9th February 2018

Christmas is a distant memory, it’s no longer dark at 4pm and soon we’ll see snowdrops and crocuses popping up to tell us spring is just around the corner.  This spring at CARF sees the start of another programme of training for advisers and we are now actively looking for volunteers to join our team.

Last year our volunteers together donated more than 22,000 hours of their time.  We know that’s a lot and we’re of course, very grateful, but we’re still looking for more.  More trained volunteer’s means more help available for our clients and we would love to be able to help more people.  The training for advisers starts on the 15th March 2018.  More information on the role can be found on the volunteer training page.

Being an adviser is pretty full on and we know it’s not the right role for everyone.  This year we’re increasing the range of roles available in some of our offices.  Dunfermline will be undergoing a bit of a layout change which means we’re also looking for volunteer receptionists to welcome visitors to the office, client assessment volunteers and additional administrative support.  These roles will join advisers for their induction but then undertake some practical learning in the office.  They don’t need quite the same level of time commitment and training as advising does.

We’ve got plenty of volunteering opportunities right across Fife, so just fill in your details here and we’ll send you out an application.
