New EU Settlement Support Partnership

Date published: 11th September 2019

We are proud to announce an EUSS (EU Settlement Support) partnership launch between Citizens Advice & Rights Fife, Fife Migrants Forum, Fife Centre for Equalities and Fife Council.

Citizens Advice & Rights Fife (CARF) will, as a member of the initiative, provide advice and support to clients from EU, EEA or Swiss citizens as well as qualifying non-EU citizens who need assistance when making an application for settled or pre-settled status to remain in the UK after Brexit.

CARF has appointed a dedicated EU Settlement Scheme Support Worker to enable the service to focus on people who might experience difficulty in accessing or using required technology to complete their application, find it difficult to get the evidence needed to apply or are at greater risk due to personal circumstances and have specific immigration or residency issues. As an additional support to advisers, a solicitor-led helpline has been established to deal with difficult and complex cases.

The launch event will take place on Friday, 13th September from 10:00 to 11:30 at the Kirkcaldy Town House, 2 Wemyssfield, KY1 1XW.  You can find a poster for this event here.
